Boiler Room
Amsterdam
Project overview
Boiler Room Amsterdam is a free, no-phone-policy event at Shelter in Amsterdam Noord. Revolution Academy provides the Social Awareness operation, and I manage the project from the initial client requirements through pre-production, team preparation and delivery.
My role
Social Awareness
Project Management.
- Manage direct client communication, gathering the requirements and operational information for the Social Awareness setup.
- Prepare the project structure and documentation, including awareness files, floor plan information, reporting tools and team communication.
- Recruit and select the Social Awareness team based on the requirements of the event and relevant role experience.
- Prepare awareness briefings for the team, security, first aid and the wider event organisation.
- Brief the team before the event, aligning responsibilities, timings, venue information, materials and operational contacts.
- Coordinate the on-site handover, delivering materials and connecting the team directly with the designated Boiler Room contact.
Project context
The project comes together within a short preparation timeframe and requires direct coordination with the Boiler Room team to translate their requirements into a clear Social Awareness setup. The pre-production covers team selection, operational documentation, reporting, materials and the information required for live delivery.
The awareness team works in coordination with security, first aid and the wider event organisation. I prepare the relevant briefings, align the different contacts and complete the handover so the team can operate with a clear structure throughout the event.
Experience
From client requirements to a complete operational setup. The project combines direct client communication, independent project ownership, structured pre-production and team coordination within a live-event environment.
